De-slugging or removal of unwanted scrap in parts such as a hanger in a clamshell or a window in a blister will require a stripping tool. Sharples engineers tooling to have restrictions in the stripper to prevent the scrap from staying with the finished part. Designed tooling with spring loaded pins and crown pins, Sharples can build you tools to be used in either the stripping station or in the stacker station on many inline thermoforming machines.
Another option is feeding the scrap through the die with the support of backer and feed-thru plates.
